Progress Update
Act II of the Story Campaign is complete, and Act III development is underway! The demo still only covers Act I.
I am targeting an Early Access release that will include:
a complete 3-act story campaign
a complete 3-act roguelike campaign, with multiple difficulties
one playable faction (for now) for both campaign types
Below are the notes for today’s patch to the demo:
Features and Content
The Eric Lee, Scientist card has been reworked. It now draws 1 Invention, then reduces the cost of all Inventions in your hand and deck by 1 Solar Energy. I believe players will find this significantly more useful than the old version.
A new song plays during certain boss battles.
A new song plays on the mission select map when an urgent mission is active.
Certain story beats in Act 1 now stop the music, for dramatic effect.
Added a moon to one of the planets in Act II.
Bug Fixes and Improvements
The "View Decklist" button on the reward screen now lets you see your Signature Strategies and Reserves (before these were not included, and not viewable).
Long-ranged units like Siege Turrets will now swap to fire at nearby enemies that threaten them, rather than continuing to fire at faraway enemies.
The minimum unit count on Full-Scale Invasion is a number, so it is now buffable by Might of the Empire.
Added some text to the Buster Missile card to emphasize that it hits structures only.
Added the Imperial subtype to the Imperial Titan card.
Recolored General Verga to have purple stripes, matching his purple fleet.
Fixed an audio issue where the charge for the Solarburst Cannon could keep playing after the laser was done firing.
Reworded Kai's Knights and similar cards to say "if your TEAM has fewer units" rather than "if YOU have fewer units".
Some death animations were improved.
